Founder of Galaxy Group of Companies.

He began his very 1st business from being the newspaper delivery boy.

He started off the Star Book Store into partnership in year 1966 and subsequently in year 1970, the Star Book Store has been merged with another company and formed the Star Trading & Printing Sdn Bhd.

In 1998, he established Galaxy Communication & Office Automation Sdn Bhd (GC) in Peninsular Malaysia.

Within his full of energy leadership, GC had been growing from the small rented office in Damansara Utama with only 5 employees, till now the GGOC had been developed, which owned the 2-block office complex at Global Business & Convention Centre and having more than 200 over employees within the GGOC.

He was conferred the title “Justice of Peace (JP)” by the Yang Di-Pertuan Besar Negeri Sembilan on July 2001.

In July 2005, he was conferred to the title of Datuk Paduka Tuanku Ja’afar by the Yang Di-Pertuan Besar Negeri Sembilan which carried the title Dato’.

Mr. Tony Tee graduated in B.Sc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kansas, USA in September 1985.InJanuary 2002, he received his Diploma in Marketing from Professional American Management Alliance (PAMA). In 2003, he obtained his MBA from University of Southern California, USA.

Before joining to Galaxy Group of Companies as the Marketing &Technical Manager in year 1988, Mr. Tony Tee started his career as the Technical Support Engineer with Complete Computer System Sdn Bhd in 1986.

He was being appointed as the Marketing Director in year 1990.

He has vast experience in computer engineering and he was officially being appointed as the Group Deputy Chairman as at today.

He was the member of Industry Advisory Panel for Department of Polytechnic Education, Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia.

He always believe in the ideology of practicing “Management by Walking About”. With his more than 20 years experience in business dealing and international exposure, he will be a very successful leader in the future.

Mr. Tan Boonkiat joined Galaxy Communication & Office Automation Sdn. Bhd. as the Marketing Executive in February 1992.

He was sent to set-up operation of our Malacca Branch in June 1992. Upon the successful implementation of the sales and marketing operations in Malacca Branch, he was posted back to HQ as the Marketing Manager in 1993.

Later, in 1996, he was appointed as the Operations Director subsequent to the incorporation of Galaxy Automation Sdn. Bhd. in 1995.

In year 2000, he was assigned to set up a superstore called Bintang Office Superstore with 2 outlet where one was located at Kelana Jaya Centre Point and another one was located at Kuala Lumpur.

He always been a person that’s soft spoken, cool and systematic in handling all matters.

In view of the progress of Galaxy Group of Companies, in early 2009, Mr. Tan Boonkiat was promoted to the current position as the Corporate Affairs & Operations Director for Galaxy Technical and Supply Services Sdn. Bhd.

Although he does not have any experience in construction work, but he managed to taking care of the construction  work for Block A and Block B of Global Business & Convention Centre, Subang Logistic Warehouse as well as the renovation work for the old building at Dataran Prima, Kelana Jaya.

Mr. Yee Pengwai joined the Galaxy Group of Companies in Ipoh Branch as a Sales Executive in July 1990 and was subsequently transferred to the Johor Bahru Branch as Branch Supervisor in December 1990.

During his tenure of employment at the Johor Bahru Branch, he had been promoted to Senior Branch Manager for his excellence in achieving the top performance among all branches continuously for four consecutive years.

With his high capabilities and aggressiveness in the marketing field, he was then transferred to HQ in January 1998 and appointed to the position of Marketing & Operations Director of Galaxy Automation Sdn. Bhd.

With a proven track record and outstanding performance charted over the years, Mr. Yee Pengwai is currently holding the post of Executive Director beginning April 2011.

Mr. Yap Haimeng joined Galaxy Communication & Office Automation Sdn. Bhd. as the Technician in January 1989 and he was immediately being put on a flight to Japan – RISO Kagaku Corp., for technical training.

He was promoted to the post of Service Engineer in August 1989 after the said training in Japan.

His sincerity, straight forward, energetic and hard-working attitude towards the completion of assignments has been recognized by the Management.

Mr. Yap Haimeng is a person that is steadfast and firm in his decisions making.

He has worked his way up to the current position as the Technical & Operations Director for Galaxy Technical & Supply Services Sdn. Bhd. after Galaxy Group setting up this new associate company.

Prior to his employment with Shining Star Trading Sdn. Bhd., Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, as it’s Manager in May 1992.

Mr. Francis Bong Honban was formerly engaged into the business of construction project management and attached to local company in Miri, Sarawak.

Mr. Francis Bong Honban being a person with firm commitment and having strong sense of responsibility has managed to turn around the Company that performed badly into well performing Company until to date.

Within his excellent achievements, he had been promoted as the Executive Director in July 1996 and subsequently to his current positions in July 2000 as the Marketing & Operations Director of Shining Star Trading Sdn Bhd.

Mr. Alvin Khung Shyangwee joined Galaxy Automation Sdn Bhd in 1996 as the Marketing Executive (IT Division) immediate after his graduation at University of Manitoba, Winnpeg, Canada.

He was transferred to Scientific &Technical Product Sdn Bhd in 1998 with the same position as Marketing Executive.

In year 2000, He was transferred to Gomas and given authority to set up the food and beverage business .

He was successfully set up 2 Kopi Corner in our Bintang Office Superstore and a bistro called Thomas Place Restaurant at Dataran Prima.

He is now holding the position of Marketing Director for Media Lite Sdn Bhd which is involve in merchandising and distributing business.

Mr. Khung Shyangloon joined the Galaxy Group     of Companies in 2003 as Sales Executive immediately after his graduation from the Curtin University of Technology, Australia.

With the launching of Riso’s HC full-color printer series in year 2005, he was appointed the Sales Manager in-charged in overseeing the sales and applications development of the new range.

In year 2007 he was promoted to Sales & Operations Manager and subsequently appointed to the current post of Sales Director for Galaxy Automation Sdn Bhd. beginning April 2011.
